The indigenous documentary, Contact, is a joint winner of the Foxtel Australian Documentary Prize at the Sydney Film Festival. It shares top honours with A Good Man.

ABC's Rugby League Collection
If you are a sports fan like me, then you’ll agree that the next twelve months are going to be very exciting for us. Australia celebrates 100 years of Rugby League this year. ABC TV broadcast Rugby League matches from 1960s until 1995 which has expanded our already extensive sports collection.

Library Sales has a new researcher!
I am very excited to welcome the newest addition to the Library Sales research team. Beth Shepherd started her journey by working at the ABC Shop part-time whilst she was studying. After working in the shop for 2 years, she then moved into Non-Theatric Sales in 2004. After travelling overseas, she returned to the ABC in 2007 and began researching for Library Sales.

Jack Egan’s Cricket Legacy
Sadly, one of Australia’s great commentators on the game of Cricket passed away earlier this year.
Jack Egan had worked closely with ABC Sport and ABC Archives over the years. He spent many hours in the ABC archives cataloguing the ABC cricket archive from 1958-79, the years when the ABC had exclusive rights to the television coverage of cricket in Australia.

Ray Burgess, Australian musician and TV Presenter, who was the principal host of the late 1970’s ABC youth culture program FLASHEZ has very generously donated 4 full episodes of the series to the ABC.
