ABC Library Sales celebrates The Rolling Stones 50 year career milestone, by showcasing some sensational footage of them in the early days, contained in the ABC Archives.
The footage treasures include a TDT interview with a very fresh faced Mick Jagger, whilst he was filming “Ned Kelly” in Australia in 1969; a press conference on the morning of Marianne Faithfull’s hospitalisation and a GTK interview with Mick and Keith pondering 10 years survival (at that time) …. Little did they think there’d be another 40!
All this incredible ABC footage, featuring classic TDT and GTK interviews and much, much more, is available though ABC Library Sales.
ABC digital radio is also broadcasting a special event pop up station – ABC Stones, over the weekend of July 13-15. This marks their first live performance at the legendary Marquee Club in London, July 12, 1962. ABC Stones is on digital radio or streamed online at abc.net.au/digitalradio
ABC Library Sales has awe-inspiring footage of 20,000 year-old human footprints which were recently uncovered at Willandra Lakes in southeast Australia. This is one of the most amazing and unexpected archaeological finds ever made in Australia, with over 450 footprints of men, women and children. The footprints were recorded by the Catalyst team, and are available to be licensed with permission from the local tribal elders.
